As my father-in-law, Dad was, of course, an important part of my life. One of the things I appreciated most about him was his willingness to listen. He gave his full attention without reservation or judgement. Never did any of his kids or grandkids doubt his love. Though not his by blood, he was truly a father to me for 43 years.
