This notice for Bob was shared with all employees of the Texas Heart Institute who owe a great debt to Bob Marshman for his 20 years of dedicated service and considerable contribution to THI. We still remember him fondly.
It is with sadness that I share this message to inform you of the passing of Bob Marshman. As part of our Texas Heart Institute family, many of us worked with him during his 20 years of service to Texas Heart Institute and considered him an outstanding co-worker and friend. We extend our sympathies to his wife Leslie, his family and friends.
I personally remember Texas Heart Institute in the mid-1980s when Bob set up our first computers (mine was an IBM 286 with 1 MB of memory running Windows 3.1), our e-mail system, internet access and computer network. Imagine, or remember if you will, that before that, no computers, no e-mail, no internet. In those early days of IT, Bob was a one man show, and as you can imagine, he was very popular and very much in demand. And very dedicated to Texas Heart Institute.
Thank you Bob,
Ken Hoge
