The youngest, John (3), was taken in and raised by family in Mexico, while Peter (12) and Michael (9) spent the rest of their childhood growing up at Boys Harbor in La Porte, Texas. Peter was a hard worker his entire life.
As a young boy he would mow lawns and save his money. He loved to play and watch football. He played football for La Porte High school where he graduated in 1976. He wanted to play in college but missed the try outs due to illness. When his little brother John was a teenager, he moved back to America so that Peter could take care of him. Peter attended college at Steven F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas and San Jacinto College in Houston, Texas. He studied electrical courses and worked as an electrician until he started his new career at General Electric where he repaired transformers from 1987 until he retired in 2013.
He was often called Pete by his family, friends, and colleagues. On August 16, 1987, Peter would marry his wife Mahna Prokopuk.
