Mrs. Paulette Johnston Burdette's Obituary
Paulette Johnston Burdette, 73, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2019 in Pearland, Texas where she resided for 40 years and raised her family. Paulette was born in Houston, TX on July 30, 1946 to parents William I. Johnston & Frances White.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and family whom she loved dearly. She also fancied her jewelry and never went anywhere without it. Even staying home, she was dressed in bling from head to toe. She loved her TV soap operas, westerns and was fascinated with anything about the mafia. If she could, she would have been a mob wife married to Marlon Brando from the famous movie The Godfather (had she not met Ray of course).
She is preceded in death by her father, and stepfather Johnny White. She is survived by her loving husband Arthur “Ray” Burdette of 47 years. Her mother, and 3 children Kelly Wilson (Mike), Shelly Burdette Schumacher, Tommy Burdette (Katey Porter).
She is also survived by her sister Claudette Tanner (Donnie), grandchildren Dane’e and Kayla Alston, Jared Michalk (Ryann), Jordan Michalk, Tori and Taylor Burdette, great grandchildren David, Joey, and Keira Michalk, and Keagan Burdette. She is also survived by her nieces Trudie Jones (Mark), Tracie Pool (Cory), nephew Donnie Tanner Jr. (Melissa), great nieces and nephews Breanna & Jacob Jones, Shelby and Devin Mitchell, Sierra, Sydney, & Trenton Tanner, great- great nephew Tatum Jones, and great-great niece Everleigh Mitchell.
She will deeply be missed by a host of family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday August 25th at 10:00 am at South Park Funeral Home located at 1310 N. Main St. Pearland, Texas 77581.
