Patsy Ann Palos Cavazos' Obituary
Patsy Palos-Cavazos, 69, wife and beloved mother to 2 children of Pearland, TX, passed away at her home on July 12, 2025, leaving a void her family cannot fill.
She was born in Victoria, TX, in 1956 to Eva R. Palos and Antonio Palos Jr., was born on Foster Air Force base. Patsy attended the University of Houston, obtaining a Master's in Bilingual Education. She began her academic career as a teacher at De Zavala, then progressed to Assistant Principal and Principal, and later became a School Improvement Officer for HISD and the Chief Academic Officer for Sheldon ISD. Patsy was in education for over 40 + years.
Patsy was a devoted grandmother to Denise Garcia, Branden Garcia, Kadyn Cavazos, and her young twins, Eli and Eliana Cavazos, whom she adored. She always said each of them changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided. She was a loving mother to her two children, Joseph Cavazos and Katherine Cavazos, and a wonderful wife of 46 years to her husband, Ramiro Cavazos. She was also a great sister to her 2 sisters, Guadalupe Palos and Elaine Olivarez, and her 2 brothers, Antonio Palos III and Arthur Palos. She was a fantastic daughter to her 90-year-old mother, Eva Palos. Patsy was preceded in death by her father, Antonio Palos Jr.
Her service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025, at South Park Funeral Home and Crematory, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland, TX 77581. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home, or in place of flowers, donations to The Latinos for Education in her name are appreciated.
