My sister we are almost reaching the one yr mark since you left us. It still seems like yersterday. I will never understand why God took you from us. I will never understand why you of all people had to get cancer!!! Brain cancer at that. You only lived 46 days after we found out. This has been the hardest thing for all of us to handle. I love you my precious sister. And miss you like crazy. I miss your hugs and miss hearing your laughter and your singing. You were our songbird. Until we meet again watch over us pls... tell our brother Jay and papa I love them and miss them. RIP ❤️❤️😂

Melinda was so special to my husband and me. She was so sweet and kind to everyone she met. Melinda never met a stranger but made everyone feel as if she had known them for years. You could look into Melinda"s eyes and see love for all mankind. She sang at our wedding and truly made it special. I know she is singing with the angels and what a blessing
they are getting in Heaven. We will see you one day Melinda and hear your voice and get one of your hugs. You are truly missed my dear sister. Adrian and Andrea

we all know-it.
Here is one of my poem's
that I think was
Melinda's favorite.

It's a letter a man wrote to his wife
who never made it home from the Civil War.
General Grant hand delivered the letter to her.
Six years later.

"The Civil War Love Letter"

Those palmed kisses you blew from the porch that day,
Softer than spring rains, caressing my face.
I am the nights with you that could not stay.
You are my days of each mornings embrace.

I am that star we watched together at night.
You are the smile, that lingers in my dreams.
I am your glimmor of hope at twilight.
You are the soft babble, beside the streams.

I am the falling star that glows in your eye.
You are my love, that live's on in my heart.
I am the tears from you, when you sit and cry.
We are the sadness of two lovers apart.

I am for you, the love that has always been.
If love is forever, we shall meet again.
