My Dear Kamo,
When I think of you , I think of :
So many Books ,reading, going to Paragon Cinema on Thursday nights on your Honda motor cycle to watch back to back Dracula movies and buttered toasted biscuits ( crackers) . Toasted on both sides to perfection. Sometimes with the yellow butter from the 5 lb tin from the shop.
I looked forward to dunking one by one in a cup of sweet green tea! I still make toasted crackers and I would say Kamo made these when I stayed at Reliance during high school.
I wanted read the books you were reading and so I started War and Peace. I never finished it . But I loved to hear you narrate the story as you did with many other books. You loved the classics . I remember that my brother ( Karan) was reading V S Naipaul’s ‘A House for Mr Biswas ‘ and so were you at the same time. Then my brother Dyal introduced you PG Woodhouse ‘s books. You mentioned recently how you enjoyed the stories about Jeeves the butler. You were such an avid reader and a wonderful storyteller. You made all the characters come to life.
So many good memories at Reliance I would never forget. We will miss you !
Rest in Peace.
