Lydia was like a daughter to me. I will always love her and appreciate her friendship. She was a precious friend to my daughter and they shared many things. I am grateful to her parents who raised her to love everyone. When my daughter had her double lung transplant Lydia was there to support her and me during the hours of surgery. She had a special sense and knew when I would get restless. She would pray for me. I will miss that and I will miss her beautiful smile. She is now walking the streets of gold with her savior.

I wake up every morning hoping it was a bad dream. But I finally realize that you are gone. I will miss our time together while visiting Texas. I'll miss seeing you care for your grandsons, and watching the glow of love on your face when you watch them play. I wish there was something I could have done to keep you here. I will cherish all of the memories of you in my heart until I see you again. I so wish I could be at your celebration of life on Monday.
