Linda Ann Carson Moore's Obituary
Linda Ann Carson Moore was born on January 2, 1948. She was born to a surviving World War II Iwo Jima Marine and a wonderful loving Mother. She grew up and lived her entire life in the Houston area. The stories told by her revealed a beautiful childhood upbringing. She attended Mount Carmel Academy and taught the Nuns there to have patience as she had a hard time sitting still. A bright student she excelled in studies and it was clear that she was not average by any means. She was never alone as she had two younger brothers who both hold her in high regards to this day. She led the way for them leading by example with one retiring as a high-level CEO of a major Telecommunications Corp. and the other retiring as a USMC Gunnery Sergeant. Linda was twice married. Her first husband (childhood sweetheart) lost his life just 3 months after their marriage in an auto accident. Her second marriage ending in a divorce through no fault of her own. She worked in the airlines as a stewardess. Then as a bookkeeper for a large oil corporation. She found her favorite career as a real estate agent and quickly made her way to the top as the best listing agent in Houston. She could make a deal work and closed many contracts. She did this until her health caught up to her in 1993. Diagnosed at the time with a rare liver disease with no known cure at the time she buried herself deep into studies on the subject. Soon she was online with the computer and thus was the beginning of the PBCers Organization, a non-profit corporation that vowed that all donations would go to research and not a dime to staff or salary. Linda built nothing into a very successful organization raising thousands of dollars to research. As a testimony to her success, she did not lose her life to the disease. Because of the research and new drugs produced, she managed to survive it. The organization lives on today. Linda gave life to her only son Ryan in 1978 through her second marriage. It was the Linda and Ryan show when I met her in 1988. We soon became a family and moved to the Pearland area in 1990 where we remain today. Ryan’s first interest was Brenda Gonzales (Jones) and the two became good friends until Ryan left out of state for college. Ryan played football and excelled in college graduating in 2004 with a Master’s Degree in Education. He was destined to be a football coach and had a lot of potential. Brenda moved into Linda’s Mother’s house after she passed to attend and later graduate from college locally. Tragically Ryan lost his life in an auto accident in 2005, the same year that her father passed. She was memorable of that year for the remainder of her life. Linda passed peacefully in my arms at 2:50 AM on November 14, 2020 of pancreatic cancer.
Linda is preceded in death by her son Antony Ryan Moore, niece Stephanie Carson-Mann (daughter of Thomas Carson Jr.) and her parents Thomas and Betty Carson.
Linda is survived by her life friend and partner Tim Snakenberg, daughter Brenda Gonzales Jones, husband Brian Jones and their wonderful baby daughter Victoria who she loved dearly and brought much joy to Linda, her brothers Thomas Carson, Jr. and wife Elaine of New Braunfels, Texas and Larry Carson and wife Norma (Jan) in Montana.
