Katy Carter says it all - I think using her middle name was risky. I only called her Katherine Laverne when I was picking on her, after I had known her for years. Still not always a good idea! I regret having lost touch with Kathy for the last few years. She started training me with 7-11 forty one years ago and I became one of her "kids". She had several over the years, probably hundreds, and every one of them was better for knowing her. If you knew Kathy, I don't have to tell you anything. If you didn't you would never understand how truly great she was. I think the best way to sum her up is just to say she cared, because she really did, and it is so hard to find someone who really did care. She helped me through some very difficult times in my early life, as she did for so many. She had high standards and expected you to meet them, and she would put you in your place if you got too cocky, but was always there to lift you up if you stumbled. She was a true friend, inspiration, and role model.
