Julian Charles Walton's Obituary
Julian Charles Walton, born August 9, 1924, sailed his last sea cruise on February 22, 2025. He was an affectionate, dedicated and hardworking man who always put the needs of his family ahead of his own. He was a U.S Navy veteran of World War 2. He enlisted at the age of 17 in 1942 and served aboard the heavy cruiser USS Chester (CA 27) as an Electricians Mate 1st Class (EM1C) thru 1945 and survived a torpedo attack which cost him the loss of sight in one eye. Julian was born to parents Roy Albert and Lula (Hill) Walton. Siblings were brothers Alonzo, William (Bill) Walton and sister Mary Lawrence.
After the war, Julian worked for Reliable Battery as an auto electrician for 41 years and retired in 1986. Preceded in death by his beloved wife Bertha Louise, son Tommy Joe, grandson Johnny Weisinger, son-in-law Danny Paul Weisinger and both brothers and sister. He is survived by daughters Sandra Weisinger, Linda Biziak (David), Joann Walton and daughter-in-law Geraldine Walton. Also surviving him are grandchildren Clint and Justin Walton, Marla (Mike) Boegler, Cindy (Pat) McCue, Tanya (Jim) Morken, and Crystal (Chris) Diaz. He has a multitude of great-grandchildren - Taylor and Cole McCue, Cameron (USAF) and Reid Boegler, Emily and Emma Morken, Robert, Yvonna and Vincent Lopez, Vivian and Maddie Diaz. He was well loved and respected by a host of neighbors and friends.
