John was my step father and best friend for over 50 yrs. I miss him now and I will miss being able to see and talk to him. I have nothing but great memories of John. He taught me so much in life it would take yrs for me to tell all the things I learned. He was a loyal friend and a great man who truly cared for others. John touched so many lives and helped so many people to have a better life. It doesn't matter how much money and material things you aquire, it's how many people you help along your journey of life.I only wish there were more people like John so this would be a better world. To Dina, Julie, Troy and his wife and children and Nathan and the rest of the family I want you to know that your father was more than special to me and I believe that him and my mom are together in heaven
Dina & Julie; i am very sad to hear your dad has passed. You know I love you both so much & I have the best memories of childhood with us girls & our parents. Your dad was always so much fun to be around. He was a great man & I know this is a most difficult time for you. I am praying for your strength and will definately light a candle and give thanksgiving for your dad. I am telling my dad today; i know he will be very upset to hear.
so sorry for your loss. I remember spending many saturday afternoons with John and Genie. Barbara and I brought bread pudding from cafe express. We enjoyed the afternoon together especially watching John feed his birds. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Debbie R.
