Mr. Jay A. Gates, 81, of Pearland, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Martha Gates; three sons, Jay B. Gates, David K. Gates and Robert C. Gates; three daughters, Marilyn J. Nygrin, Jayne L. Gates and Ginger K. French; 4 grand-daughters, 3 grandsons and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will be present to receive friends on Friday morning, August 21, 2015 from 11:30 AM until service time at 12:30 PM in the Chapel of SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 North Main Street, Pearland,TX 77581. Interment will immediately follow at SouthPark Cemetery
