There's no way his life can be summed up in a few paragraphs, there is way too much!
How do you describe Jason Brumley to someone who didn’t know him? The only phrase that comes to mind..“Hell on Wheels”.
For most of us, we didn’t see Jason in a wheelchair, once you go to know him it was like it wasn’t even there, except when you got in a little trouble.
With Jason you tried to avoid trouble, especially when you knew you have to get his butt in the car, break down his wheelchair, get that in the car, and get out of dodge. Believe me, we tried it, sober at that.
Don’t take hell on wheels the wrong way, Jason never really got into trouble, maybe a predicament here or there, he was just trying to have a good time with his friends. He lived life on his own terms, fearless and headstrong. He was never afraid to speak his mind; you always knew where you stood with him.
Jason had a deep love for his family and his nephew Wyatt, who he’d brag on in every conversation. He loved his friends and his passions like concerts and Indy racing, and was always looking for a way to go to the next event.
He had such a big heart; never met a stranger and always greeted you with a smile, a laugh and maybe a witty taunt. Man did he love to joke and laugh.
Finally, in all the years I knew him, I cannot recall hearing Jason complain about his disability, on the contrary, it worked to his advantage. If you had ever been to a concert with Jason, you have probably seen a beautiful girl, a complete stranger riding in his lap. “Why walk when you can ride”.
That was typical Jason.
We love you and we will see you again my friend, until then, I will miss you.
