Jim was my great friend and colleague. We had thousands of hours of great fun playing golf, gin, and solving most of the worlds problems over some Jack Daniel’s or Chevis.
Jim was the 1st rep to call on me when I was made the buyer for lack’s— I told homer we’re going to drop his line(Kemp) because I wanted to move the assortment to a higher price point. He was very professional didn’t get mad but continued to call on us. I shortly recognized the error of my ways and Kemp became lacks top selling bedroom line for a few years. Jim was really my Mentor in the furniture business for while I had a 10 yearretail background with Sears I knew nothing about furniture. Jim was the brother I never had and he was much loved and will be sorely missed. Mark,Tommy, and, Erick my heartfelt condolences. You had a great dad. Someday in the future I hope to be playing gin with Jim,David, and Sterling.
