Jacqueline "Jackie" Patton Bloom's Obituary
Jacqueline “Jackie” Patton Bloom (née Smith) passed away on January 28, 2026, at the age of 36.
Jackie was a loving daughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, and friend whose heart was rooted in care for others. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader always encouraging, always showing up, and always believing in the people she loved. Jackie had a true servant’s heart, guided by her deep faith, and gave freely of her time, compassion, and energy.
Jackie graduated from Deer Park High School in 2007, where she was a member of the Deer Escorts drill team. She then attended the University of North Texas where she joined a sorority and made many lasting friendships, before graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion. Jackie found purpose in helping others, spending time volunteering and serving her community. She also enjoyed substitute teaching, where her warmth and kindness left a meaningful impression on the students she worked with. A devoted animal lover, Jackie had a special compassion for animals and found great joy in caring and advocating for them.
She is survived by her parents, Marian Jackson Smith and David Smith; her sisters, Courtney Murphy (Brian Murphy), Shannon McCain (Matt McCain), and Sarah Smith (James Edson); her boyfriend, Eric Robinson; and her beloved niece and nephews, Brynlee Murphy, Caysen Murphy, and Mason McCain. Jackie is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
