I had the pleasure of working with Gil when he worked in the office of JP 1-2. Gil shared his love of music and his goals of becoming a teacher. Gil spoke of his brothers often and his pride in his future wife Tina. Gloria my prayers go out to you. May God continue to give you and your husband comfort as both of you move forward. Gil and I became friends working on the school newspaper at Rogers. There was never a day when he passed me in the hall that he didn’t take a moment to ask how I was doing. He even kept up with me after I retired. He was a bright light in the world, and I am proud to have called him friend. I’m certain that his light is shining in heaven right now. But, down here on earth, we miss him so.
