I just found out from a friend that Brother Lupo went home. Brother Lupo and I were radio friends. We never met in person. He and I talked on KJOJ radio as he was preparing to come on the air. I was the engineer at KJOJ radio for many of his broadcasts.
On July 4, 1987, my mother died of lung cancer. I mentioned it just before he went on the air. He sang "Sheltered in the Arms of God" in her honor. I will never forget this wonderful man and the comfort he was to everyone with whom he came in contact. One day we will see him again and share a lot more precious memories..
