I met Evelyn in 1980 working together at the telephone company and we instantly became friends. She had a contagious smile and laugh that could light up a room. After retirement and changes in the company we lost contact. She always was encouraging and warm. It saddens me to hear she is gone but memories will always last. Praying for her family and friends
This is from Evelyn's cousin Sandra Dillard Etheridge in Austin Texas. My last memory of Evelyn was at my cousin Dollie's (Margaret) house. She asked me how I was related to the family, I told her I am Uncle George Dewey Dillard daughter. She was happy to know that. We had been in several family gatherings before, but we don't always know how we are related to each other. This is why it is so important to have family reunions. We need to know who each other is. Sadie was my dad's niece.
