Mr. Edward Lee White Sr.'s Obituary
The Honorable Edward Lee White Sr., 62, of Pearland, Texas. Beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, December 18, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father Iozey White. Mr. White was born to Iozey and Essie Mae White on March 25, 1952 in Navasota, Texas. After graduating from Anderson Shiro High School he attended college at Prairie View A&M for 3 and ½ years before joining the US Army. He served his country from 1978 until 1984 where he was based in Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Once he was honorably discharged from the US Army he became a State Trooper and then a Police Officer where he worked at the Port of Houston from 1981 until 2012 when he retired. Mr. White is survived by his loving wife; Thu White, mother; Essie Mae White, children; Sedrick White and wife Romeshia, Cory Calloway, Kelesia Calloway, Edward White Jr. and wife Chloe, Emmanuel White and wife Ashlee, Princess White, Eddie White and Timothy White, sister; Ozey White, Step children; Jarrod Calloway, LaShaun Perry and husband Walter and Leroy Calloway and wife LaRhonda, nieces; Cheryl, Tammy and Gayle, 24 grandchildren and a host of friends. The family will receive friends Monday, December 29, 2014 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at SouthPark Funeral Home, 1310 North Main St., Pearland, TX 7781. A celebration of Mr. White’s life will be Tuesday, December 30, 2014 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. He will be laid to rest in The Houston National Cemetery.
