On February 21, 1969 a beautiful baby girl was born to Ida Mae Bratcher of Kerrville, Texas whom she named Edna Melanie Bratcher. She grew up in Kerrville and graduated from Tivy High School where she enjoyed playing sports and was Homecoming Queen. She was accepted into Prairie View A&M University where she had an amazing two years where she majored in Criminal Justice and was employed as a dispatcher in Alvin, Texas. She had a career change in Early Childhood Development, where she received her teaching certificate and was loved by all of her students and by all who knew her. She had a heart of gold and shared it with everyone she knew. She leaves to cherish her memories by her children DeChevea Kyron Branch of Pearland, Texas and Idaysha Chesarea Branch of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind God Child Ty Anthony Thomas of West Colombia, Her mother Ida Mae Eason and step-father (Richard) of West Colombia, Texas, sister Desiree Zoe Thomas (Earl) of West Colombia, Texas, brother Terrance Kyron Davis, and her loving grandchildren Eli, Elaina, Constance, Lila, and Brycen, Aunts name sake Melanie Lee of Burlington, New Jersey, Sharon (Mack) of Georgetown, Texas, host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
