I was Blessed to have Dee as a friend and a mentor. We worked together at FBISD. She was so smart and taught me so much. She was humble and had such a kind heart. She made me laugh often. And she LOVED her family - so proud of her girls. She was crazy about Ronny. It was so sweet - she always said such nice things about him and he clearly loved her too. I am grateful that our paths crossed. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Rest In Peace, sweet Dee Jones.
The following post is from Ronnie’s 90 yr old, Aunt Connie in Memphis: “ I’ve known Daphne (Dee) Jones since she and Ronnie were in school. Daphne always had a sweet smile on her face until one time when she was upset with my brother, her father-in-law, Jesse. She wanted my advice on how to handle Jesse, as he was always teasing her and picking on her! The only advice I could giver her was to just give it right back to him! She took my advice and they were close from that day forward. My brother was crazy about her and she loved him til the day he passed away. Daphne was a wonderful wife and mother and will be greatly missed. “ One day we will have the best family reunion in heaven and won’t ever have to say goodbye. Wish we could be with you guys today. You all are in our thoughts and prayers. We love y’all!

Dee is the best mother in law anyone could ever wish for , she was loving , comforting and always there to help when needed , I have always been able to make her laugh , looking back on the time I have known her and the time we spent together for so many years and I would trade them all just to have her laugh and flash that beautiful smile she has had ever since I have know her , I love you always and you will be missed indefinitely
Dee was a wonderful woman who loved her family wholeheartedly. She was a joy to so many. I enjoyed working with her and getting to know her at Lake O.
