Mr. Billy Ray Potts' Obituary
Billy Ray Potts, 80, of Pasadena, TX, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on August 10, 2017 in Houston, TX.
Billy was born in Fouke, AR to William Potts and Girtha Attaway on July 13 & 14, 1937. No one really knows the truth. He went to high school at Fouke High School. Mr. Potts was the owner and CEO of Bill Potts & CO for 32 years. He was involved in his church, Shadycrest Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and hunting while looking for the legendary Big Foot. He also loved lounging in his recliner with his favorite dog Panda, Panda Sue, and Panda Part 3.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents: William and Girtha. Wife: Lola. Sisters: Bessie, Audrey, Marcie, Esther “Tink”, and Brother Willard. Son: William and Stepchildren: Scott and Barbara. Dogs, Panda and Panda Sue.
Billy is survived by his wife of 18 years, Ruth, of Pasadena. Sister: Doris. Children: Sibyl, LaWanda, Shari and Bev. He also left 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and dog Panda.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 18, 2017 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Shadycrest Baptist Church 3017 Yost BLVD, Pearland, TX 77581.
Funeral service will be held at Shadycrest Baptist Church in Pearland on August 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm with Dr. Samuel Lunham officiating. Burial will follow at South Park Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shadycrest Baptist Church – Building Fund.
