Mrs. Barbara Lee Maynor's Obituary
Barbara Maynor born on March 17, 1931 passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. She was a loved sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband Willie Dan Maynor to whom she was married for 54 years. Her sister Gertrude (Dixie) Jackowski; brothers, C.J. (Chris) Christofferson and Nells (Jr) Christofferson.
She is survived by her sister Lois Roth of Longview, Washington; daughters Diana Gunnells and husband Don, Carol Shifferly and son John Maynor and wife Kaye; 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was a member of the 1949 graduating class of Pearland High School. A long time member Pearland Historical Society She was one of the first City Councilmen of Brookside Village. She retired from Pearland ISD after 27 years working in food services as a supervisor where she had many close and loving friends.
She was born on Hall Rd. in Houston, just across the creek she lived her life in Pearland area until recently when she moved to Bishop, Texas with her daughter Carol.
She will be loved and missed by everyone who knew her.

She loved every and any animal from the time she could walk until her passing.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM at Freedom Fellowship Church 1201 N. Main St. Pearland, Texas 77581. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM. Burial Southpark Cemetery.
