Arthur Carl White Jr.'s Obituary
Arthur Carl White, Jr., age 77, passed away on January 17, 2026, in Houston, Texas. Born on February 4, 1948, in Los Angeles, California, Arthur lived a life marked by dedication to his craft, deep faith, and enduring love for his family.
Arthur spent his early years in Kansas and graduated from Russell Springs Consolidated High School in Logan County. He later pursued his passion for mechanics and earned full accreditation as a Master Diesel Mechanic in Houston, Texas. His skill and commitment quickly set him apart—in 1970, he became the youngest diesel mechanic promoted to Foreman at Roadway Express Freight, a global leader in freight transportation. This milestone marked the beginning of a long and respected career in the industry.
Before embarking on his professional journey, Arthur served briefly in the United States Army. Though his time was cut short due to a medical discharge, he carried with him the values of service and resilience throughout his life.
Arthur was a devoted Christian whose faith in Jesus Christ guided him through every chapter of life. His spiritual commitment was evident to all who knew him and remained a cornerstone of his identity.
Beyond work and faith, Arthur found joy in the thrill of automobile racing and the serenity of saltwater fishing. Whether cheering from the stands or casting a line into coastal waters, these passions brought him great happiness and connection to the world around him.
Arthur’s legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by two daughters: Trina Ford of Denver, Colorado, and Andrea Page of Omaha, Nebraska; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his brother George White (Marilyn Arceneaux) of Houston, Texas; sisters Margarett White of Tucson, Arizona; and Lillian Seaman (Loren Seaman) of Hugoton, Kansas. A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins also mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents—Arthur Carl White Sr. and Mary Ann White—and by his niece Reagan Hartless.
Arthur’s life will be remembered for its strength of character, unwavering faith, and deep familial bonds. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and serve as a lasting testament to a life well lived. A Memorial Gathering will be held on February 21, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM at South Park Funeral Home 1310 North Main Street
