Anne Smith was a beautiful person. I met her through Sam Houston DAR chapter and she was a very devoted leader in that group. She was a friend to all and greatly loved.
Ann was a DAR sister and a mentor to all who joined Sam Houston Chapter. She offered suggestions on the correct way to wear my DAR pins, so I affectionately called her the pin police. She was congenial and friendly to all. She was a busy volunteer and loved working for Veterans causes. I loved talking to her. She had so much knowledge about the DAR as her Mother was one of the founders of our Chapter. I will miss her sweet, beautiful face and her kind personality. Condolences to her family. You are in my prayers.
My memories of Anne were, she always seemed so happy, as she always had a smile on her face. She was always so nice, and she, Donna C. and Becky B., had such thick, beautiful hair.
May God, watch over her loved ones, and give them a PEACEFUL heart…
