Alexa attended Anderson Elementary School, Welch Middle School, and graduated from Elsik High School in 2002. She continued her education at Prairie View A&M University before transferring to Texas Southern University to complete her basic studies. Dedicated and compassionate, Alexa worked as a Human Resources Coordinator for the Substitute Teacher Department, where she supported educators and made meaningful connections through her kindness and professionalism.
Those who knew Alexa knew she truly loved to live life. She carried a warm and tender heart, balanced with a light, celebratory spirit that brought comfort and joy to everyone around her. Her laughter, strength, and unwavering love for her family defined who she was.
In February 2014, Alexa was involved in a devastating car accident. Miraculously, she survived. What followed was a testament to her extraordinary determination and courage. She relearned how to walk, speak, drive, and live independently — reclaiming her independence step by step.
