Myra Linda Vargas, born in Houston, Texas to Fred and Consuelo Bejarano, February 8th, 1958. She is preceded in death by her mother. Myra is survived by her father Fred, her two brothers, her two sisters and her loving husband of 21 years, Ernesto Vargas; children: Jessica Barron, spouse Chris, Katherine Cantu, Rebecca Cantu, Rachel Samarin, spouse Mikal, Richard Cantu, spouse Jenna, Amanda Cantu, spouse Junior, Genevieve Bowden, spouse David, her bonus children, Veronica and Victoria (Vikki), several grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Myra was a very hard worker who worked numerous jobs until she found her true calling, some called it Finance Collections, we called it “Professional Liar”. She enjoyed large family gatherings, particularly Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas; those were her favorite holidays. She loved going to the Astro’s games and watching all her grandchildren’s extracurricular activities. Myra was loved by many, she was an amazing mother who loved everyone even if you weren’t her child. She got her weird and sarcastic sense of humor from her mother, those two together were unstoppable. Myra loved going to the casino so much she eventually bought her own slot machine. A viewing and Rosary will be held at SouthPark Funeral Home Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Rosary to be held at 6:30pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Community in Manvel on Wednesday, September 8th, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
