Meet Edwin “Rosey” Rosenquist, Funeral Director at SouthPark Funeral Home. Edwin has been part of the SouthPark team for 5½ years, but his calling began long before that. What started as childhood curiosity led him to his first apprenticeship in 1981. Just a few years in, addiction derailed his path, but in 1989, Edwin began his journey of recovery. Now 36 ½ years sober, Edwin has rebuilt not only his career but his purpose. He graduated with honors from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service and went on to serve families across the country as a funeral director, manager, and deputy coroner.
Today, his life experience allows him to connect with families on a deeply personal level, especially those coping with a loss due to addiction. He brings empathy, strength, and compassion to every family he meets. Outside of work, Edwin enjoys astronomy, road trips in his Jeep, and playing guitar. He’s a proud husband, father, and grandfather, and feels grateful to be part of the SouthPark team and NorthStar Memorial Group.
