FEMA Offers Federal Assistance to Help Families Cover Funeral Costs

Up to $9,000 in aid may be available for those who suffered the loss of a loved one from COVID-19

Individuals can begin applying for COVID-19 funeral assistance starting April 12, 2021 for anyone that incurred COVID-19-related funeral expenses after January 20, 2020. This not only helps those who already incurred expenses, but those who have not yet held a service or purchased other funeral- and cremation-related merchandise such as headstones, urns and cremation niches.

The experience setting up our arrangements was very hassle free. Kim Tovar was very helpful in the process. She walked us through the steps, answered our questions and we felt no pressure.
