Mrs. Wilma F. Moser's Obituary
Early Monday morning April 4, 2016 the Lord took his faithful servant Wilma Moser to be by his side after a yearlong battle with cancer. Wilma moved with her family to Houston from Nacogdoches, Texas when she was 6 years old and has resided in both Southeast Houston and Friendswood except for a 12 year period in which she lived in Palestine, Texas while her husband was employed by Houston Lighting and Power Company. She was a proud Midterm graduate of Milby High School class of 1954 where she had kept in contact with many of her classmates in the recent years.
Wilma was a member of the First Baptist Church of Friendswood where she had attended church faithfully since moving back to the Houston area from Palestine. She served First Baptist Church by managing their Food Pantry for nearly 20 years and also helped many summers with the Vacation Bible School program.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Jack H. Moser and her older sister Joy Melvileen Radney. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Kettler of Manvel along with her husband Bubba and two grandsons whom she loved dearly Casey and Cade Kettler and Casey’s fiancé Kourtney Krampota. She is also survived by a younger sister LaJohn Cryer and her husband Buddy as well as a younger brother Glenn Blanton and his wife D’Ann and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation services will be held at South Park Funeral Home on Hwy 35 in Pearland on Wednesday evening April the 6th from 6 -8 p.m. with the funeral service to be held Thursday, April 7th at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Friendswood that is located at 111 E. Heritage Dr., Friendswood, Texas. Graveside services will immediately follow at South Park Cemetery.
