Mr. William "Bill" C Walsh's Obituary
William Clarence Walsh, born January 29, 1925 in Round Rock, Texas passed away on February 6, 2011. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Walsh, sister Mary Thompson and brother Don Walsh. Mr. Walsh graduated from the University of Houston with a BS in Engineering, and was a Registered P.E., as well as a Certified Surveyor. He was a prominent member of the Pearland business community and the Galveston Water Authority. Bill was honored to be named Rotarian of the Year by the Pearland Rotary, and he was a member of the Alvin Rotary, as well as the Pearland Chamber of Commerce.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Louise Walsh; children, Karlyn Mitchell and husband Douglas Pearce, Rebecca Winton and husband Ken, Patricia Winchell and husband Jim, Melinda Rosinski and husband Tom, Cindy Holman and husband Richard, Elizabeth Kendall and husband Dean, John Walsh and wife Jenny and Debbie McEntagart and husband John; grandchildren, Kara Tupy, Joshua Winton, Jason Winton, Joann Jeffrey, Jessica Korin, Jennifer Kendall, Julia Rosinski, Victoria Kendall, Robert Holman, Luke Rosinski, Jennifer Holman, Rebecca Holman, Trevor Pearce, Tatiana Walsh, Rachel Rosinski, Sarah Walsh, Rebekah Walsh, Jacob Walsh, Elizabeth Walsh and James McEntagart; great-grandchildren, Isabella Tupy, Santiago Winton, Nathan Tupy and Avital Leah Korin; brother-in-law, Jimmy Thompson; sister-in-law, Julia Weertman and husband Hans; nieces, Nanette Stone and Susan Baker; and a host of friends.
A Celebration of William's Life will be held Friday, February 11, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Pearland, 2930 East Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581 with burial to follow at SouthPark Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday February 10, 2011 from 4-8 p.m. at SouthPark Funeral Home in Pearland.
