Mr. William Norman Hood's Obituary
Hood William Norman Hood passed away on October 18th, 2007 in Houston, TX, at the age of 83. Bill, as he was known, was born in Memphis, Tennessee, on October 23, 1923. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he especially enjoyed the company of his grandchildren. He loved music and greatly enjoyed listening to his grandsons, William (age 9) and James (age 7), play their cellos and his granddaughter, Crystal (age 17), sing and play her guitar. His grandsons, Alex (age 5) and Evan (age 2), always brought him joy. He was a master electrician and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. As a member of Life Tabernacle, he liked helping in the Sunday School department. He had many friends there and loved them dearly. Bill is preceded in death by two sons, Lawrence Hood and William Hood Jr. and brother, Harvey Hood. He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria Hood; daughters, Jana Huff and Bay Asher; sons, David Hood, Don Hood, and Phillip Hood; sister, Marjorie Fischer, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 2:00 ' 4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 21st, 2001 at South Park Funeral Home, 1310 North Main St., Pearland, TX. Church Services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 22nd, 2007 at Life Tabernacle, 9901 Windmill Lakes Blvd., Houston, TX. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
