William Harris' Obituary
William Harris a beloved father, son, brother, and friend passed away on
December 10, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer:
William was born on March 11, 1957 in Houston, Texas to the late Dorothy
Lee Harris Willis and Edward Harris. He was the youngest of six children,
four preceded him in death. William attended and graduated from Jack
Yates High School in Houston, Texas. He was a drum major who loved to
dance.
William married his former wife, Diane Rosario-Harris on March 13, 2014.
Diane was his loving caregiver until William's departure.
William retired July 2024, as HVAC Maintenance Supervisor after 25 years
of service from University of Texas Health System in Houston, TX. William
was known for his infectious smile, making jokes and bringing laughter:
William's favorite hobby was fishing. William leaves to cherish his sons,
Broderick Wilson and William "Bill" Harris Jr. (Stella), his step-daughters
Tonya Frain (Niall) and Bianca Stratford, and his former spouse, Diane
Rosario-Harris. is brother, John Lester Barnes Jr., five grandchildren, a
host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is
preceded in death by his siblings: Arthur Jerry Barnes Sr., Aretha Marie
Moore, Barbara Jean Johnson, and Joann Harris Nelson and his grandson,
Sirr William Harris.
William will be remembered forever and always in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace.
