Mr. William Robert Goodale's Obituary
W.R. “Billy” Goodale, 81, of Friendswood, Texas went home to be with Jesus on Friday, January 4, 2018. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on March 21, 1936. Mr. Goodale memberships include the IBEW for 60 years, local Union 716 for 40 years as a journeyman electrician. He came to Houston from Baton Rouge, LA in 1965, Park Place Masonic Blue Lodge, Scottish Rite 32nd Mason, Friendswood Baptist Church. Billy was on several boards such as Executive JATC as an instructor/teaching the apprentices and was latter appointed to the JATC Examining Board. His last appointment before he retired was an Assistant Business Manager at L.U. # 716in the Referral Department. Not only did he like being an electrician, he loved the members and many friends he made through the years. Although his true passion was politics of the Union Life to make things better for his fellow members.
Mr. Goodale was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Gladys Goodale; his special needs grandson Brannon Tate Goodale, whom he raised from birth. He was the apple of his eye. Words cannot describe the love he has for his little Bubba. He is survived by his loving wife Janice Rae Goodale; his special need s grandson Phillip who had a very special bond with his paw paw/dad and has taught Phillip about Christ; children, Vicki Jamison and husband Beau, Bobby Goodale and wife Sharon, Jeff Graham and wife Toni, Renee Walters and husband Timmy, Rhonda Jones and husband Jeff, Angel Coates Ray, David Goodale, Nanci Morgan, Billie Goodale Brown; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; his favorite aunt Shirley Moore whom he loved dearly and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Southpark Funeral Home 1310 North Main St. Pearland, Texas 77581. Funeral service will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bill Cole officiating. Burial will take place in Southpark Cemetery.
