Willa Jean White our precious mother entered the gates of heaven and into the arms of Jesus on Friday May 11, 2012 at the age of 84. Willa Jean joins her husband Paul, parents Mary & Hamett Cox, her sister Frances Cox, in-laws Evander & Sarah White, Miriam & Don Kimball, and Shirley Cox in the kingdom of heaven. Willa Jean is survived by her three children, Paula Pennington & husband Randy, Bruce White & wife Gloria, Sheila Wernli & husband Jack, her brother James Cox, grandchildren, Brandon White, Jamie White, Danielle Garcia, Blake Wernli, Scott Wernli, and Darrell Pennington, great grandchildren Madison Pennington, Kendall Pennington, Kinley White, Parker White, nieces & nephews Jim Cox, Julie Hunt, David Kimball, Doug Kimball, Donnita Kimball, and Duane Kimball. Willa Jean was a very special lady. She was an exceptional mother and we thought of her as our best friend. She spent the last 12 years of her life battling Alzheimer's, but she never let it get the best of her and always kept her sense of humor. You could describe her as being happily confused. We love you mom, see you in heaven!! A visitation will be held on Monday May 14th 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, with funeral service at 10:00 am Tuesday May 15th 2012, both at South Park Funeral Home 1310 N. Main Pearland, TX 77581 Willa Jean loved her church so very much and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that gifts in her memory be made to Park Place Baptist Church.
