Mr. Wilfred "Willie" Chartier's Obituary
Wilfred P. (Willie) Chartier Sr. passed away May 19, 2010 after a lengthy illness. A memorial service will take place in Pensacola Fl. And remains will be interred at Pensacola Naval Cemetery. In lieu of remembrances, the Family's only request is that you keep them in your prayers. Wilfred Chartier Sr. was born on December 24, 1918 in Presque Isle Maine. Willie left behind his wife Florida of 67 years of marriage. Three daughters, Simonne Kuhhirte, husband Richard, of Pensacola Fl.; Diane Ebert, husband Steven of Rio Grande, OH; & Rachel Wollam, husband Robert of Danbury, TX. Two sons, Paul Chartier and Wilfred P. (Sonny) Chartier Jr., both of Angleton TX. Sisters, Madeline Michaud of Auburn ME and Florence Felos of St. Petersburg FL. Brothers Robert, wife Fibula of Lewiston ME; Richard, wife Dorothy of Augusta, ME; Albert of Winthrop ME. And Joseph of CA. Seven grandchildren, Richard Kuhhirte, Robert Kuhhirte, Christella Wollam, Renee Archer, B.J. Ebert, Amanda Stapleton, and Sarah Elbert. Eight great grandchildren, Victoria and Madison Kuhhirte, Elizabeth and Catherine Archer, Tyler Ebert, Alex Stapleton, Quinton Williams and Kylie Ebert. Many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents Ida and Joseph; three brothers, James, Edward and Donald. Sister Leona. Two grandsons, Jeffery Ebert and Kirk Wollam. Willie and Florida came to Texas in September of 2004 after being displaced by hurricane Ivan that devastated Pensacola and their home. Health issues prevented them from returning to Florida. Willie resided at Friendship Haven in Friendswood TX until his death. Florida and her children are grateful for everyone's prayers, support and care that were given to Willie.
