Wesley Wayne Wood Born December 31, 1951 to Reginald and Helen Wood in Houston, Texas, passed away April 25, 2017 at home in Friendswood Texas. Wesley was a simple, hardworking genuine man with strong work ethic, old fashioned values and was always lending a helping hand. He took great pride in his accomplishments, in his career with overhead cranes and had a lifelong passion for fishing as well as hunting, nascar racing and fighter jets. All who knew him would know his distinct smile and voice, how he enjoyed telling jokes and his unforgettable laugh, his love for food, television, old westerns and country music. Wesley had so much love for his family and an even greater love for his grandchildren whom he adored. He was a true provider, husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and friend. He was loved very much and will be greatly missed. Wesley is survived by his caring wife of 36 years Marilyn Wood, his children: Chad Wood and Wife Stephanie, Charlena Spendley and Husband Daniel, Cheresa Wood and Step-Daughter: Christina Beaird; Sister: Shirley Wood; Brothers: Roy Wood and Gary Wood; Grandchildren: Alexis, Katherine, Jonathan, Jeremy, Ava, Gia, Cahra, Tyler and Layla.
