Wanda Ruth Shannon Jamison's Obituary
Wanda Ruth Shannon Jamison, 81, of Pearland Texas passed in her sleep on July 27, 2013. Wanda was born on February 22, 1932, in San Benito, Texas. She was a graduate of Alvin High School. She loved to cook, snow ski, hunt and fish, but most of all she loved her family. A charter member and Past President of the Pearland Lioness Club, Past Worthy Matron of the Pearland Chapter #1065 Order of the Eastern Star. Wanda was instrumental in helping to organize Pearland Assembly #337 Order of the Rainbow for Girls and is a Past Mother Advisor. Wanda was also a charter and lifetime member of the Clear Lake Area Ski Club. Wanda is preceded in death by her loving husband of over 61 years, Quinton Jamison, as well as her parents Darrell and Hattie Shannon, brother Gene Shannon, sister & brother-in-law Aleta & Joe Alexander. She is survived by son Paul and wife Vicky Jamison, daughter Cheryl and husband Randy Polak; Grandchildren Brent & wife Onesti Patterson, Ashley, Haley and Quinton Polak, Jennifer and husband Brian MacDonald, great grandchildren Brenden, Preston, & Payton MacDonald, Easton and Laney Patterson. She is also survived by sister-in-law Hazel (Shannon) Glasscock, brother-in-laws Herbert Jamison & Allen Jamison of Lake Jackson & sister-in-law Florence Gum and husband Don Gum of Lubbock, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins & cherished friends. Visitation is Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at South Park Funeral Home in Pearland. Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:00 am at South Park Funeral Home.
