Wanda Lynn Burlingame's Obituary
Wanda Lynn Burlingame, lovingly known as "Aunt Wa", passed away unexpectedly at the age of 60 on Saturday, January 28, 2023. She was a lifelong Beverly Hills resident. She attended Atkinson Elementary, Beverly Hills Intermediate, and Dobie High School.
Wanda was, quite simply, everything to her family and her family was everything to her. She was the rock that supported you, the keeper of secrets, and the life of every party. She was selfless, kindhearted, non-judgemental, an animal lover, a hard worker, and a fun-loving, and strong-willed person. A giver, even in death, she was able to donate every part of herself to others in need so that they may enjoy more time with their family and loved ones.
She enjoyed, with her family, good movies, watching westerns and wrestling. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and trivia. She enjoyed good music, margaritas, and family game nights. She also enjoyed working at Armadillo Lanes II Bowling Alley, where she was employed for the last ten years. There she was able to interact and socialize with so many people, new friends and old. Wanda was the kind of person who never met a stranger.
Wanda is survived by her son, Bobby Burlingame and daughter-in-law, Beth Parchman; her daughter, Lisa Catalan and son-in-law, Joseph Cruz; two grandsons, Joseph,("Joe") and Jeremiah Cruz; her ex-husband and closest friend, Roberto Catalan, his wife Veronica and their children; her step-mom, Barbara Burlingame; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Angie Burlingame; sister, Donna Miranda; sister and brother-in-law, Leia and Tom Meade; six nieces and five nephews, Angela Miranda, (Tim Gresham), Frank Miranda, Kristin Pitzer ,(Phillip), Aaron Miranda, Victoria Williams, Blake Burlingame, Megan Burlingame, Breianna Meade, John Meade, Alayna Charles, Oliver Charles, and extended family, friends, and neighbors.
Wanda is preceded in death by both of her parents, "Ann" Burlingame and "Jack" Burlingame.
Friends from Armadillo Lanes II will hold a benefit, selling BBQ plates in honor of Wanda on Saturday, February 18, from 1 to 5 in the bowling alley's parking lot. Our family will hold a Celebration of Life on Sunday, February 26, 2023 from 1 until 4 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2320 Hatfield Rd, Pearland, Tx. 77581. Donations can be made to the Pasadena Animal Shelter in memory of Wanda Lynn Burlingame.
