Walter Bryant Davis Jr.'s Obituary
Walter Bryant Davis Jr, age 77 of Cypress, Texas passed away November 6, 2024. He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on February 10, 1947 to parents Marguerite Brown Davis and Walter Bryant Davis Sr. Bryant Davis graduated from South Houston High School in 1966. He married Lois C. Davis on November 21, 2007, who preceded him in death on March 8, 2020.
Bryant lived on a Cotton Farm in Odem-Edroy, Tx before moving to Houston, Tx in 1962. Over the last years of his life, he suffered from Parkinson’s disease.
Bryant worked as a Machinist for 30 years for Hughes Tool Company where he retired and then worked for Continental Airlines for 18 years before later retiring. He was a devout member of Shadycrest Baptist Church, and had a passion for Singing, Bible study and Serving the Lord.
He is survived by his daughter Margaret Lynn Medcalf and husband Jeff Medcalf and son, Philip Bryant Davis. He had 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren: Kaylyn Nichole Williams and husband Korbin Williams and their baby girl Millie Taylor Williams, Alexis Taylor Cobb and husband Zane Cobb and their baby boy, Dax James Cobb, Ryan Ashley Medcalf and Braedon Keith Medcalf. A host of friends and relatives also survive.
