Mrs. Virginia Ann Keilers' Obituary
Virginia Ann Keilers, 77, passed away at home December 5, 2015. Virginia is a retired small business owner in Pearland, Texas; graduated in 1955 at Pearland High School; also a charter member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, now known as New Life, and a devoted wife and mother.
Virginia was a very determined and passionate person. She loved her family unconditionally. Whatever was going on in any of their lives she was a big part of it cheering them on. If you were her friend you could always count on her to help you on whatever you needed. Virginia had a very special way of making life so much more interesting and like it was the most enjoyable time she ever had. She always told stories with great fondness of her life as a child growing up farming, her love for her husband, and her family. She showed her love for her family and friends by cooking fabulous meals. She also enjoyed tending to her goats and cows, fishing. She enjoyed listening and dancing to Zydeco music, having her friends coming over at night to watch Wheel of Fortune, and going to the gaming room casinos, and she loved her church. She enjoyed working on several volunteer organizations with her daughter and spending time with her family. She had a special grandson relationship with JD McDonald who came to live with her and take loving care of her after husband, Sidney, passed away.
Virginia’s husband, Sidney Keilers, daughter Sandy Drozd, and parents Ruth and Alton Strader proceed her in death. Her survivors include daughter Pam and husband John McDonald 11; grandsons Michael and wife Melissa Miller, J.D. McDonald 111, and Dustin Drozd and granddaughter Sydni Ann McDonald; great grandchildren Adrien and Alyssa Miller, Sister Doris and husband Rudy Theisen, and a host of the most wonderful friends.
The visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm Monday December 7, 2015 at South Park Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 12 to 2 on Tuesday December 8, 2015. A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at the graveside at South Park Funeral Home.
