Mrs Violet Marie Dammel's Obituary
Violet Marie Dammel, age 95 passed away Friday November 7, 2014. Preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Carl, and her brothers Walter and Russell Miller. Leaving behind son Terry (Tari), grandsons Carl (Jamie) and Chris (Liz), and great grandchildren James, Leah, Celeste and Delilah (Carl) and Colt, Levi and Daxon (Chris), sister-in-law Rita Miller, niece Robin Brockhoff, and nephews Rick and Rusty Miller. Vi was born September 24, 1919 in Cincinnati, Ohio and raised by her grandparents George and Clara Schuster. She served as a Cub Scout Den leader, a high school booster club member, and was an active bowler as well. She enjoyed working with her hands and enjoyed her hobbies of crocheting, gardening, painting and sewing. The family moved to Houston, Texas in 1962, where she became involved in St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, the Gulf Freeway Garden and Civic Club, Young at Heart and AARP. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 19 at South Park Funeral Home.
