Ann was more than just my sister; she was a beacon of kindness, creativity, and strength. She was already grown when I was very young, and she took on the role of a loving and protective older sister with grace.
One of my fondest memories of Ann is how she always hosted Halloween and Easter parties for us younger kids. I remember an egg race in her living room—thankfully, the eggs were hard-boiled! Her creativity and enthusiasm made every event special and memorable.
Ann was not only artistic but also incredibly strong. She didn’t put up with a lot of nonsense, and I probably irritated her more than I should have. Yet, her kindness always shone through. When I visited the states, she was the first to offer me a place to stay, even if there wasn’t much room in her house. Her generosity and warmth made me feel at home.
Ann, you are deeply missed. Your legacy of love, strength, and creativity will always be remembered. Thank you for the countless memories and for being the incredible person you were.
I went Mt. Carmel with Violet. She was always a very sweet young lady and classmate. I pray that her family is blessed by the many memories of her. lovingly Janis Jones Richie class of '65
