Vimala Paulraj was born in Rangoon, Burma as the third child of Mr. R.V. Joseph and Mrs. Minnie Joseph. Her parents were originally from Nagercoil, South India. Vimala met her husband P. Paulraj at a National Missionary Society (NMS) in 1954.
They were married on July 6, 1959 and were blessed with two boys, Joseph, and David, and a daughter, Shobi. At the previous NMS camp, Vimala accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior.
With two college degrees, one in science and one in teaching, she served as a high school teacher in India. In the US, she entered the health care field and retired as a hospital medical lab technologist in New York.
Vimala is survived by her husband, three children, twelve grandchildren, a great granddaughter, and three sisters.
