Madam Victoria Oyamore Obadagbonyi's Obituary
Late Madam Victoria Oyaomore Obadagbonyi Nee Okunghae died February 20th 2021. She was 94 years old and passed away peacefully, after taking a shower, spoke to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and then said she want to sleep.
She was born on 1st June 1925 into the families of Mr. & Mrs. Okunghae and Igbasogie of Erie and Ugoniyokorhinmwon in Edo state, Nigeria.
She was a very hardworking trader, who sold Bean Pie [ moi moi], Bean Cake [Akara] and Pap [Akamu], and was giving a contract to supply St. Maria Goritte girls secondary school between 1972-1982. She was also a whole seller of bags of Rice and Beans.
She was married to the Late Mr. Simpson Igbineweka Obadgbonyi of Ogbe-zoti at the age of 27years old. She is survived with 2 sisters, 6 children, 33 grandchildren, and 44 great grandchildren. She love praying, watching movies and love to be happy. She was a devoted Christian, and worshipped in the Church of God Mission International in Nigeria.
Iye as we all called her which means “Mother” took care of her grandchildren when they lived together before relocating to the United States of American to stay with her daughter, Florence Ighalo.
There was never a dull moment with her, she touch a lot of lives positive and we will definitely miss her .
