Vicki G. Bolen's Obituary
Our one-of-a-kind mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and our country’s veteran, Vicki Garcia Bolen, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her family home on May 27, 2022, at the age of 68. She is survived by her significant other, Bruce Nestleroad, of 34 years and children: Brian (Michelle) Nestleroad , Amy (Troy) Allen, Michelle (John Weber) Bolen, and Amber Garcia and their grandchildren: Courtney Allen, Ashley(Christian) Delos Reyes, Isabelle Garcia, Emerson, Callahan, and Campbell Weber. She is also survived by her siblings: Heriberto “Eddie” (Susan) Garcia, Silverio “Shorty” Garcia Jr, Mary Lopez, brother-in-law Fabian Cardona, Cynthia (Guadalupe) Negrete and Robert “Rob” Garcia. She was preceded in death by her parents Silverio M. Garcia, Sr and Antonia L. Garcia and her sister Theresa Cardona. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Vicki’s life was as full and robust as she was herself - to encapsulate who she was in writing could never do her justice. Vicki served her country well and retired from a 25-year career in the United States Navy. GO NAVY! She would say that her biggest accomplishment in her life is that of the successes of her children and grandchildren and was very proud of them all. We know that her love of those in her life was deep, never wavering, and with passion…and the same “passion” to set you straight when needed. She will never be gone and lives on in our hearts and in the legacy of her grandchildren.
Our mom taught us it doesn’t matter where we are physically as long as we are together in our hearts, we are Home. You are always home to us Mom, even more now that you’ve been called Home.
