I know this is belated, just found out this sad news. I knew Vera when she was a teenager. We attended St. Paul Lutheran and our families were friends. Her kind nature and love of children was evident when the twins were born! How wonderful that we share the same hope of eternal life in Jesus, which she so gladly shared with so many through her church ministries. I KNOW you are missing her every day, and I send my love to Bonnie, Joe, Sean & Meechele, Tony and her children.
I worked with Vera in the nursery for many years. She was always willing to help, educate, be a listening ear to whomever was working alongside her. She always saw the positive and was a bright light for many. My deepest condolences to her family. I was blessed to know her.
It was my privilege, joy, and delight to work alongside Vera for seven years 2010-2017 at Clear Lake Regional Hospital in the Neonatal Care Level 1 Department. She was a precious, beloved sister of the heart. Sending my deepest sympathies to her precious family. Twila Bierman
I have a lot of great memories with Vera. We lived in the same neighborhood for years. Our girls were best friends for many years. Vera was the other mother to my daughter Angela. Vera was always there to support her children in whatever they did. She made color guard costumes, flags and helped with makeup. Vera was a big support of the Pearland High School Band and Color Guard that Rebekah was a part of. She was an awesome seamstress. She was always volunteering for events in the neighborhood. She loved to work with children. She was always such a warm, caring and compassionate lady. One memory that really stands out for me is the time she was at my house and helped do our daughters hair and makeup for prom. She made those girls so beautiful. Vera will be missed by so many that knew her and loved her. I pray that her family finds comfort in the many memories that they made together. Fly high sweet Angel.

Tony, Rebekah and Elizabeth, I send my deepest sympathy to you and your family on the loss of your dear wife and Mom. I remember Vera working at church on so many projects, her love of quilting and the Houston quilt festival, always trying to be positive no matter how crazy things were.
