Ms. Velma Louise Duke's Obituary
Velma was born to Harley N. Mathews and Ruth Marie Rogers Dec. 2, 1935. She was the youngest of four, Roberta Mullinax, Gorden Fergusen (deceased) and Duane Mathews (deceased). Velma lived in Corpus Christi and worked as a waitress. There is where she met her husband, Floyd Duke. They settled in Houston and raised three children. Floyd passed June 7, 2007 and she continued to live in the home where they raised their children, Brenda Savage (David), Floyd Duke (Jimi)
Keethann Riche (Quentin); grandchildren, Damon Savage (Capri), Dawn Savage, Cortnee Marie Steele (deceased), Faith Janovich (deceased) Garret LeBlue, RJ Stegemiller and Lauren Duke; great grandchildren, Cheyenne Drexler, Colton Sweat, Lance Savage and Landon Savage.
