I met Uncle only twice at family celebration events and I recall him rolling up his sleeves and helping out. It made me realise he is a very practical man who is down to earth.
Uncle spoke to me about the people of Bangladesh, in particular the poor there, who he had contact with during his posting in Dhaka. Uncle impressed me as a kind and generous human being who was not bound by race or religion.
I was very much looking forward to meeting Uncle and the family next year. I guess now I have to wait a little bit longer to see him again. All of Uncle's good deeds will help him to have a peaceful afterlife.
My deepest heartfelt condolences to Soumy Aunty, Dexi, Donna and the family. May his soul rest in peace.
